I’ve got a serious case of the Toos. Not even a word, really – but I’ve got it.
- It’s too hot
- I’m too tired
- I’m too bored
- It’s too much work
- I’m too hungry
- It takes TOO long
- I’m too busy
- I’m too lazy
Man, I’ve got about two hundred too phrases I could use, but you know, none of them really mean anything. I’m stuck in a rut. I’ve been doing well with weight loss, I’ve been eating healthier but I hit a record low and the wheels came off it. I got busy, I had to do this, I had to do that, it rained … now I am just really having a hard time sorting out the next steps.
One side of me says you need to do something different (running) but it’s hot and running in the heat is just brutal. My bike looks like I rode Paris Roubaix … it is unbelievably dirty. Tomorrow should be a track night. My favorite track night, with the points race. Hopefully I can find my A-Game for that.
I think I’m caught in a window of limited success points. I’m 15 pounds from 200, I am tired and the heat of summer wears on me – but then again, the heat can help me burn some of this. Time to just do it. Yes, it’s hot… yes I will sweat…. yes I might be uncomfortable – but YES … I will feel better later.
Where oh where did I leave my MOTIVATION?
